Q: What Payment methods do you accept?
A: We accept PayPal, and most major credit cards, Personal Checks, Cashier's Check and Money Orders. You can place an order on-line, by phone or by mail. When sending a Check/Money Order please first use the online checkout process and choose the Check/Money Order option located at the bottom of the Checkout page, as your payment method. This way we will hold your item(s) until your payment arrives. This will insure that your item(s) are available to ship when your payment arrives.
Please include, with your payment, a copy of your purchase Confirmation email.

Bill Me Later
PayPal: offers No Payments and No Interest if paid in full in 6 months on Bill Me Later purchases of $99 or more. Simply choose PayPal Credit located on the Shopping cart and Checkout pages.
Klarna: offers up to 3 convenient payment options at checkout when you select the "Buy Now, Pay Later" option on the checkout page.
We accept the following credit cards: Visa, Master, American Express, Dinners Club, JCB and Discover cards. There is no surcharge for using your credit card to make purchases. Please be sure to provide your exact billing address and telephone number (i.e. the address and phone number your credit card bank has on file for you). Incorrect information will cause a delay in processing your order. Your credit card will be billed upon shipment of your order.
Money Orders, Cashiers Checks,
Company Checks, & Personal Checks
We accept money orders, cashiers checks, personal checks, and company checks in U.S. Dollars only. Orders are processed upon receipt of a money order or cashiers check. For personal and company checks, please allow up to 6 banking days for clearance of funds before the order is processed. We cannot guarantee the availability of a product the time funds clear or payment is received. We will charge a $25 fee on all returned checks.
We will only accept PayPal payments for International orders.
- International customers having a PayPal account can use PayPal Express Checkout located in the Shopping Cart or Checkout page.
- International customers that would prefer to use their credit card can select
the payment method 'PayPal Invoice' located on the lower left of the checkout
page. After you checkout and within a few hours you will receive an itemized
invoice from PayPal. You can then pay this invoice using your credit card.
- International orders will only be shipped to the Confirmed address on their PayPal account.
Q: How can I view the status of my order?
A: Click on "My Account" at the top of the page. Log in with your Email address and Password. There you can view all your orders.
Q: When will my order be shipped?
A: See "Shipping" Section below
If you have any concerns about the shipping methods used for Free shipping please contact us before making your purchase.
Q: What are the shipping costs?
A: You can determine shipping costs any time by going to the Shopping Cart page and typing in your zip code in the "Calculate Shipping" box and then click on "Go".
For the cost of International shipping go to the "Checkout" page and choose your country, territory/state and postal code from the drop-down menu in the Ship To section.
Q: Do you provide over-night delivery?
A: Yes, via USPS Express Mail (over-night to most areas - USA Only). Click on this LINK and it will take you to the USPS Express mail Commitment page. Enter your zip code in the "Destination" box to determine whether your package will be delivered in 1 or two days. To ensure prompt service please contact us for availability if you decide to ship USPS Express. Express mail is not usually shipped on Friday or Saturday.

Q: Can I return an item for a Refund?
A: All metal detectors and accessories that we sell are brand new. Any detector or accessory that is found to be defective in materials or workmanship must be returned to the Manufacturer's Factory for repair or replacement, as per instructions and requirements of the manufacturer. For more info see "Returns" below.
All Metal Detectors are shipped packaged in a plain corrugated box to help ensure safe delivery.
Free Shipping: All Metal Detectors will be shipped FREE using UPS Ground [1 - 6 Days for delivery]. If you need your detector shipped using a different shipping method please contact us before placing your order. Smaller items designated for Free Shipping (ie. Headphones, Pinpointers....) will ship USPS Priority mail [1 - 4 Days for delivery]. If you need your item fast we also provide Express mail shipping at low rates.
All orders are processed and shipped within 1-2 business days of being received. Normally, if an order is received prior to 1:00 PM EST that order will ship that day. Orders received after 1:00 PM EST will ship the next business day. We ship orders Monday - Friday with the exception of holidays.
Orders shipped within the 48 contiguous states should arrive in 2 – 7 business days depending on delivery location and shipping method used. Orders shipped to Alaska, Hawaii and USA territories may take an additional 2 – 5 days for delivery.
The shipping method used for items shipped free is left to the discretion of Colonial Metal Detectors. Free Shipping methods used will be based on weight/size of the package and buyers location. If you have a concern as to a shipping method we may use please contact us before placing your order.
UPS Ground: 1 - 6 Days - Most Detectors are shipped FREE using this method.
UPS 3 Day Select: 1 - 3 Days
USPS First Class Mail: 2 - 7 Days
USPS Priority Mail: 1 - 4 Days - Most Accessories that are shipped FREE will use this Method.
USPS Priority Express: 1 - 2 Days
USPS Media Mail: 2 - 10 Days - Books that ship free use this method. Delivery times tend to be slow during the Holiday season. You can always upgrade to a different shipping method (except First Class) if you need it faster.
Note: Beware of shipping delays that can and do occur during the holiday season. Be sure to order early.
Q:What other Countries do you ship to?
A: We ship to most countries that do not have trade sanctions in place with the United States and those allowed by the product manufacturer.
Q: Does Free Shipping apply to International shipping?
A: No. But items designated as Free shipping are shipped at a discounted rate.
Q: Will I be able to purchase any product if I live in a non-sanctioned
A: Some manufacturers have restrictions on the sales of their products outside the United States. Though some of the products we sell are eligible to ship outside the United States most items are not.
If you are interested in purchasing any item(s) please Email us at [email protected] and include the items you want to purchase and country to which they will ship and we will send you an invoice with the total cost including the shipping.
International Buyers Please Note:
Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to making your purchase. These charges are normally collected by the delivering freight (shipping) company or when you pick the item up do not confuse these costs as additional shipping charges.
We do not mark merchandise values below value or mark items as "gifts" - US and International government regulations prohibit such behavior.
We believe that you will be delighted with your product, but there may be occasions when you feel it necessary to return an item.
All metal detectors and metal detecting accessories we
sell are brand new. Any products found to be defective in materials
or workmanship must be returned to the Manufacturer's Factory for repair or
replacement, as per instructions and requirements from the manufacturer.

If you decide for any reason, other than described previously, and for up to 15 days of delivery date, that you would like to return the UNUSED detector or accessory you may do so. To receive a full refund the item must be returned along with the Blank Warranty Card, if applicable, included paper work, bonus items and other originally included parts. Please understand that all returns must be in NEW UNUSED CONDITION in Original Factory Packaging. Any detectors or accessories must be clean and in proper operating condition, NOT ALTERED OR DAMAGED. We will not accept returns that have been damaged or have visible signs of use. When returning an item for refund all bonus and or promotional items included in the purchase of that item must be included with the return. Failure to return any bonus/promotional items in New Unused Condition will result in a charge for the retail value of the missing bonus and or promotional item. International Buyers Please Note: The buyer is responsible for the return postage for all Warranty issues. Colonial Metal Detectors will pay return shipping cost only for orders that were incorrectly filled, ie. incorrect item was shipped.

Order Acceptance Policy
Your receipt of an electronic or other form of order confirmation does not signify our acceptance of your order, nor does it constitute confirmation of our offer to sell. Colonial Metal Detectors reserves the right at any time after receipt of your order to accept or decline your order for any reason or to supply less than the quantity you ordered of any item.
These Conditions will supersede any terms and/or conditions you include with any purchase order, regardless of whether Colonial Metal Detectors signs them or not. We reserve the right to make changes to this site and these Conditions at any time.
We do not back order any items. If an item you want is not in stock you can use the "Put Me On The Waiting List" located on the item page just below the the item price. You will be notified when the item is back in stock via the email address that you provided.
We keep your personal information private and secure. When you make a purchase
from our site, you provide your name, email address, credit card information,
address, phone number, and a password. We use this information to process your
orders, to keep you updated on your orders and to personalize your shopping

When entering any of our contests or prize drawings, you provide your name, email address and mailing address. If you win, we will notify the winner by email. Once the winner contacts us we will then send the prize only to the address entered on the entry form or purchase invoice. When you enter a contest or drawing you are also included in our newsletter list to receive notice of promotions, specials and new additions to the Sample Store site. You may unsubscribe from this news list following the unsubscribe instructions in any email received.

Our Store shall automatically charge and withhold the applicable sales tax for orders to be delivered to addresses within the state of Connecticut. For orders shipped to other states, you are solely responsible for all sales taxes or other taxes.
In the event a product is listed at an incorrect price due to typographical error or error in pricing information received from our suppliers, Our Store shall have the right to refuse or cancel any orders placed for product listed at the incorrect price. Our Store shall have the right to refuse or cancel any such orders whether or not the order has been confirmed and your credit card charged. If your credit card has already been charged for the purchase and your order is canceled, Our Store shall immediately issue a credit to your credit card account in the amount of the incorrect price
