Land or Sea Pinpointer

I find that this pointer is GREAT! If the target is within 2", it will beep.There is only one drawback I see and that is the ON-OFF button.I wish it could be designed to push -ON,hold while locating target,then release-OFF.

I got this with a nice offer with a combo deal offered by Colonial. It is a powerful pinpointer and I like it after figuring out the buttons and settings for beep or vibrate. The only problem I found was the 9 volt battery connection I was in the woods and put a quarter under the cap to tighten the connection there is a rubber pad in the cap that may twist the battery some when tightening. The quarter worked good I will replace it with a piece of plastic. Small problem but a very good pinpointer Im happy with it

This is a very good Pin Pointer, can see different situations where any of the 3 modes would be handy. Built very well ,and waterproof a solid pro former ! Used other name brand pin pointers and this "Land or Sea" PP is superior @ a great price. Gary P.

Had a Whites Trx and really liked it but I had to constantly push the button to stop the falsing. The Land and Sea never falses. The L&S range is less....about 2 1/2". The TRX about 3 1/2". But the lack of falsing makes up for it. They need to fix the battery compartment on the L&S as you sometimes have to loosen it up and then tighten just enough for it to work....that's unexceptable...Fix IT!!!! If you tighten it too much it doesn't work. Other than that it is a great little unit.

So far I like this pin pointer. About the only complaint I have is the sound is pretty quiet compared to other pin pointers. So if you are anywhere near a noisy environment, the vibration part is the only alert function which is of use. I would still recommend this one though.

One of the best pointers on the market for way less then other name brand ones..Be Silly to buy anything else.

I got this Pinpointer as part of my package deal when I bought the ATPRO from Colonial and have been very happy with it. I though it would be a good thing until I saved up for the Garret pointer but I am suprised how well it has worked so far. I will not be getting the Garrett one until this one dies! I have used it in dirt, snow and in water (about 4FT) and have had no issues at all with it. I accidently dropped it pretty hard in the parking lot and it did not crack or damage it. I am very happy with it!
