Coil Review

I use this coil with my Etrac in all of my fields and big yards. This coil, while being an aftermarket big coil, has great depth and accuracy. I cover much more area in the field searching for civil war and wagon trail artifacts and coins. I would suggest this coil over the factory coil that comes with the Etrac on any day. Best of all I can use it with the same accuracy on my Explorer XS making it even more killer on silver in the parks and fields. Great Purchase!

Best Coil For Etrac

I've now had the Nel Tornado coil on my Etrac for over a year and this is hands down the best coil I've used, so good that I sold my stock coil and use the Tornado as my everyday hunting coil. This coil makes the Etrac a whole new machine, with better sensitivity, ground coverage and as well as depth. Most people say these aftermarket coils don't get deeper than the stock or manufactures coils, but it's not the fact that it detects deeper but makes those deeper signals come in loud and clear. I hunt a lot of old, trashy parks and curb strips and have never had a problem using the Tornado coil in these areas with separation or target ID. The best example was when myself and a buddy were hunting a school and everything I was digging, wheat pennies, barbers and jewelry, were all at least 8 to 10" deep. My buddy was using an Etrac, with the same settings as myself, and couldn't hear these deep signals so on the next target, which I could tell was a deep good signal, I got him to came over to see if he could pick it up and he couldn't hear anything. I took his machine and tried myself and couldn't pick up anything but iron no matter what I did, even running wide open screen and full sensitivity, so I decided to dig the target and at about 9" down was a 1910s wheat penny. Soon after this hunt my buddy bought his own Nel coil and since then has had way better success. I would recommend this coil for anyone using an Etrac, or any machine in fact that is a mid or high end machine, and your machine will become brand new again and you will be amazed with the performance and finds you can make that other machines either can't hear or separate.
