The Stinger Box is a simple electrolysis system designed for the metal detecting and relic hunting hobbies, but can be used by anyone looking to clean and preserve metallic artifacts.
Affordable and easy to use, clean and restore dug coins, relics, jewelry, and other metal objects, using the process of electrolysis.
No complicated accessories are required… mix the brine (included), connect the carbon rod and leads, attach the relic or coin, and watch the artifact transform before your eyes.
The Stinger Box allows you to adjust current flow to optimize the restoration process, depending on the composition of the metal to be cleaned.
- Powered with an 110V AC Wall Charger, no batteries are required!
- The voltage is adjustable with the simple twist of the knob. Up to 24V is possible, which would be used on larger relics, silver or gold. Use lower voltages on copper and other materials. See the instructions for guidelines.
- The brine mixes easily with water to create the proper electrical flow needed for electrolysis to occur.
- The brine, carbon rod and cables are consumable items, and replenished via a recharge kit also available where you purchased your Stinger Box kit.
- No complicated accessories are necessary, but common household items from the list below may be helpful with the cleaning process between electrolysis sessions: Toothbrush for general light cleaning - Wooden toothpick to remove loose particles - soft cloth - 0000 steel wool to be used with extreme caution and only for a light rubbing for it may scratch the surface.
